Reports of events at Woodcroft
Chess Tournament at Woodcroft – 4th February 2016
Woodcroft hosted a fantastic tournament for the connectED schools’ respective chess clubs. We were joined by Jonathan Bryant, Regional Director of the organisation CSC, Chess in Schools and Communities. CSC provide coaches to schools and organise national chess events. The tournament was a close affair with only a few points separating the teams. It was eventually won by Rosh Pinah, with Menorah Primary and Broadfield taking the silver and bronze medals. All teams played in a great spirit – well done to all.
Dodgeball Festival – 10th December 2015
Woodcroft, Goldbeaters and The Orion have benefited from sponsorship from the Tutor Hunt Foundation to run a free weekly dodgeball club in each of the schools. A tournament to bring the schools together at the end of the first term was hosted at Woodcroft, and in partnership with CSE Sport.
Woodcroft came out eventual winners in what a closely competed tournament played in a positive spirit. Congratulations to all of the teams for representing their schools so well.
