The Great Big Dance Off – A Report by Diana Y5
On the morning of Monday 20th March we set off to Wimbledon on the train from Mill Hill Station. After about an hour, we got to Wimbledon Theatre and watched a few schools rehearsing. We thought they were amazing, so it must have been hard for the judges to pick the winners. We had a rehearsal on stage but because of the nerves, it didn’t go that well! Next, we went back to our place in the Upper Circle that was so high, I thought I was going to fall!
There were 3 sections in the show with 2 breaks. Our turn was in the second section and we were the 4th school to perform. When it was our turn, we gave everything we could so the dance was much, much better than the rehearsal. A few minutes later, we went back to the Upper Circle to watch the last section of the show. In the end, we had an amazing performance from all the dance team, we thought it must have looked professional. Finally, we were waiting for the results. All the schools were nervous and impatient to find out their scores and guess what… Woodcroft Primary School came 1st! WOO HOO! We are sooooo proud of ourselves. Well done everyone.
We now have to practice hard to get ready for the National Finals in June.
